# FAQ

If your question is not covered here, ask Cluster directly at
[cluster.app](https://cluster.app) or see [Getting help](/docs/cluster/getting-help).

## What is Cluster? [#what-is-cluster]

Cluster is an AI assistant built around search. It answers questions with
real-time information and citations, and the same conversation can hand tasks
to bots, build apps, and generate images.

## What can Cluster do? [#what-can-cluster-do]

Search with citations, chat, bots for work, apps from a description, image
generation, and file uploads. The [overview](/docs/cluster/overview) walks
through each.

## What models power Cluster? [#what-models-power-cluster]

You pick the model per conversation. Pro and Max unlock the Max models.

## Can Cluster handle creative or specialized tasks? [#can-cluster-handle-creative-or-specialized-tasks]

Yes. Research, writing, analysis, and coding questions all work; ask
follow-ups to steer the result.

## How does real-time search work? [#how-does-real-time-search-work]

When you ask a question, Cluster searches relevant sources, reads the results,
and synthesizes them into an answer with citations. Nothing is limited to a
training cutoff: the answer reflects what the web says now.

## Can I customize Cluster's responses? [#can-i-customize-clusters-responses]

Guide the conversation with follow-up questions. Ask for more detail, a simpler
explanation, or a focus on one aspect of a topic, and the answer adapts.

## How does Cluster handle mistakes? [#how-does-cluster-handle-mistakes]

Cluster cites its sources so you can verify claims against the originals. If
you spot an inaccuracy, point it out in the conversation and Cluster will
correct it.

## How do shared links work? [#how-do-shared-links-work]

Share a conversation with a link. Anyone with the link can read the research,
answers, or discussion without signing in.
